Let's keep our beautiful city as John D. MacArthur intended. In 1959 J.D. MacArthur created what we all know as Palm Beach Gardens. I have called The Gardens my home for almost eight years, and have made many friends. My wife and I have found it easy to meet other families who share the same interests and cherish the same basic core values, close to home. We are fortunate to live in this paradise, and want to ensure that it remains such a great place to raise a family for generations to come.
Businesses, large and small, are the key element in the growth of our economy. From them come jobs, and new jobs attract new residents and visitors. Without businesses, there's no foundation from which to build upon. Our city needs to continually provide incentives for the businesses to begin, and for them to expand. Let's continue the programs to help new businesses get started here in the Gardens; our work is far from complete.
Our quality of life, and our way of life have recently come under attack. These attacks come from many places, from the federal level, trickling all the way down to the municipal level. We need strong leaders to face these problems. Leaders possessing honesty and integrity, and will work hard to accomplish the difficult tasks necessary to strengthen our community. The strength of a community is ultimately derived from the strength of its residents, and it's leaders are the means for which the residents exert their will.
Smaller government, smarter government, and open government are of vital importance for the continued success of any community. These are factors that are worth fighting for at all costs. We must work to have all three, and I believe that we can achieve that goal. The integrity and the ability of our Police and Fire departments is outstanding. Our city staffers are incredibly talented and dedicated. We need to preserve the services that help keep our city one of the finest places anywhere to call home.
My name is Rob Palladino and I'm running for City Council Group 4. My goal is to bring new ideas to the City government, and make it more accessible to the residents. The Council should be working for you. It is the focal point of the local government where authority begins. I encourage all residents to become active, and fight for what you believe in too. Thank you for your interest and I'd appreciate your support on March 9, 2010.
Very Respectfully
Rob Palladino
